On August 2nd, it is learned from the press conference of the 2024 Harbin Roller Skating Marathon World Cup and the 2024 China Roller Skating Marathon Open (Harbin Station) that the two events will be held on August 10th and 11th respectively at the circular track at the sections of Tianxiang Street and Keji 4th Street on Binhai Avenue in Songbei District. At that time, nearly 3000 professional and amateur athletes from home and abroad will participate. Additionally, approximate 7000 people will participate in the competition for mini skating.

The 2024 Harbin Roller Skating Marathon World Cup, hosted by the Roller Skating Marathon World Inline Cup (WIC) Organization, Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, and Harbin Municipal Government, and organized by the Municipal Sports Bureau, Harbin New Area Management Committee, and Harbin Roller Skating Association, is one of the top-level roller skating marathon events with international influence. In 2024, a total of 6 stations are set up for the competition worldwide, including Portugal, France, China, Switzerland, Germany, and the United States. Harbin is the only city in Asia to host the event this year. At that time, about 100 international level experts from 16 countries across 4 continents will gather in Harbin to participate, including the world's top 30 male and top 20 female athletes, as well as nearly 30 athletes from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The 2024 China Roller Skating Marathon Open (Harbin Station), hosted by the China Roller Skating Association, Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, and Harbin Municipal People's Government, and organized by the Municipal Sports Bureau, Harbin New Area Management Committee, and Harbin Roller Skating Association, will be held on August 11th. This event was successfully held in Harbin in 2023 and highly praised by the Social Sports Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the China Roller Skating Association, the Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Harbin Municipal Government, as well as received unanimous praise from roller skating enthusiasts.

In order to enrich the content of the event, "Erbin" roller skating event, roller skating expo, and roller skating carnival night and other supporting activities will be held during the two competitions. These activities will further promote urban economic development, assist in the preparation of the 9th Asian Winter Games in 2025, and effectively promote the construction of the Ice and Snow Demonstration Zone of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
